Danvers is located about 17 miles north of Boston. Very convenient location with access to I-95, Route 128, Route 1, and MBTA bus routes pass through the town. Downtown offers local businesses and restaurants. The major retail area of Danvers includes the Liberty Tree Mall only a mile from the North Shore Mall. Danvers is home to Endicott Park, a beautiful green space for events or just a quiet walk.
Danvers has five elementary schools (Highlands Elementary, Riverside Elementary, Great Oak Elementary, Thorpe Elementary, and Smith Elementary), each serving pre-K – 5. Grades 6-8 attend the recently renovated Holten-Richmond Middle School. Grades 9-12 attend Danvers High School. Danvers is home to three private schools: St. Mary of the Annunciation School serves pre-K – 8. Plumfield Academy is a small school for grades 1-8. St. John’s Preparatory School is a school for young men, serving grades 6-12.
In addition to the public and private schools, Danvers is home to the independent state funded vocational grades 9-12, North Shore Vocational School.
